Incentives

Supporting Investment and Job Creation

Gulf South Commerce Park helps companies explore incentive opportunities that reduce project risk, strengthen competitive positioning, and support long-term growth. While incentive eligibility depends on factors like industry, investment level, job creation, and project impact, a range of state and local programs exist to support new and expanding operations.

Incentive Opportunities

Louisiana offers nationlly recognized business incentive programs that can support industrial development and job creation. These may include:

  • Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreements tailored to long-term commercial investment.
  • Parish support programs aligned with economic impact and job sustainability.
  • Industrial Tax Exemption Program (ITEP): property tax exemptions for eligible manufacturing and processing facilities.
  • High-Impact Jobs Program: offers qualifying companies reimbursable grants for the creation of new jobs that pay above the parish average wage.
  • Custom Workforce Training: tailored training support through Louisiana’s workforce development and education partners.

These programs are performance-based and designed to enhance project viability for companies considering relocation or expansion.
