Workforce & Talent
Workforce Partners
Our economic development team regularly engages with local workforce partners to stay up to date on the latest trends, demands, and opportunities for local industries. Since 2018, St. Tammany EDC has led collaborative efforts in workforce, education, and talent by facilitating the Workforce Roundtable, comprised of executive representatives from Northshore Technical Community College (NTCC), St. Tammany Parish Public Schools (STPPS), Tri-Parish Works/Workforce Development Board (TPW), and Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU). This strategic alignment delivers direct workforce and talent solutions to business and industry in our community. Specific results of the collaborative Workforce Roundtable efforts include connecting businesses with various employee training opportunities, launching and scaling new workforce training, certificate, and academic degree programs developed in coordination with industry, enhancing local career awareness for students and residents, and coordinating talent recruitment and hiring events.
